I had the chance to take a handful of shots with a Phase One digital back on a Hasselblad H Series camera and macro lens.
It was during a workshop sponsored by a rental house. The setup was simple - some flowers under a big softbox. I threw in my card so I could take some images home.
To be honest I wasn’t too impressed when viewing the images on the back lcd screen.
But I just got them home and opened them up on my computer. The files are huge, the detail is amazing.
I think this one shows the detail a little better.
The images here don’t really do the original files justice. How I would love to have a camera like this but I’m not sure I can justify the $30k price tag that only gets me one lens! Something to dream about owning in the future - or at least convincing clients that they need it so I can rent it for their projects.
